The home is an entertainer’s dream.  When you open the front door the vast expanse of hickory wood flooring welcomes you into the entry hall with its gleaming crystal light fixture.  The soft gray wall color glows with quiet contentment.  Nearby is a convenient closet for your guests to stow their wraps and bags.

To the left is a spacious living room with a bay window, perfect for displaying your Christmas tree. Around the corner is a formal dining area with a stunning crystal chandelier, adding just the right touch of modern flair.   The dining room is connected to the kitchen by a pair of louvered doors.

Or head directly into the comfortable den with its connected sunroom.   The original custom touch of picture frame paneling has been preserved and updated with soft gray and the inviting color continues across a brick wall which holds a wood-burning fireplace.  The hickory wood floor continues in the den and sunroom.

The updated kitchen features new stainless appliances, granite countertops,  white subway tile and a roomy pantry.  The large upper cabinets are new.  The island stove-top  with its sleek stainless vent hood looks into the den and allows the cook to participate in family activities while cooking.  The floor is the modern, luxury version of vinyl which looks like tile, but is virtually indestructible and so easy to clean.  The stainless oven/microwave combo is encased in brick which keeps the kitchen cooler while baking.

Around the corner is a large breakfast room with plenty of space for a hutch.  The bay window adds charm to the casual dining space.  Through the louvered doors is an ample laundry room with built-in cabinets.  The other door leads to the 2.5 car garage with lots of built-in shelves and a big closet.

The bedroom wing is on the other side of the house through the entry hall and features another closet for storage. The new hickory floors continue in this part of the house.  The first bedroom has an entire wall of shelves, giving the room a lot of flexibility.  The shelves would provide extensive storage for an occupant of any age, but also make the room a great candidate for an office, if you prefer that over a bedroom.  The second bedroom is the next door and the window provides a nice view of the gnarled juniper tree outside.

These bedrooms share a stunning bathroom, which has been completely updated.  The chrome and crystal light fixture is a real show-stopper with its complimentary mirror and roomy vanity.  The marble-look tile floor continues up the tub/shower walls and features a generous niche highlighted by a tile mosaic.

The Master Suite is a wonderful retreat for the head(s) of the household.  Two closets, one of them a walk-in, provide storage.  A built-in make-up table simplifies the morning rush.  The bathroom has been completely remodeled and features spectacular white tile shower walls with a modern water-like motif.  The glass divider is frameless, offering a full view of the tile walls.   A matching pair of chrome and glass light fixtures tie the make-up table with the bathroom.  The furniture-style vanity features a pair of vessel sinks with complimentary fixtures and a big mirror.

The exterior of the house has mature landscaping all the way around, manicured and updated for modern tastes.  Behind the house is a greenbelt with a small creek, giving the home a little breathing space.  The fenced backyard has a concrete patio and a huge storage building with shelves.  The garage is accessed through the rear alley and a concrete pad for parking allows a third car, without having to park on the street.
